Some Things About Rome

The coffee is good, the prices are not.

There are water fountains like this all over. Even their water fountains are pretty! If you put your finger in the fountain, plugging the pipe, the small hole in the top turns into a drinking fountain. If you are ever in Rome, not getting splashed in the face because you know this helpful trick, think of me!

Everything is built on a scale to rival this place, the Colosseum. The art, the statues, the Metro, the crowds, the high heels, the churches - in Rome, bigger is better and that goes for prices as well. If you are not in awe at the largeness of something, you are not in Rome.

The art really is that good. You need a guidebook to figure out who made what, but you will discover on your own that the art is really, really good.

So, in summary, Rome is big and beautiful and has fantastic art.

If I had to choose between Rome or Greece, Greece would win in a landslide. Nothing against Rome, but the people in Greece made seeing their country a pleasure while the people in Rome -well, friendly Italian people must not hang out in Rome.

When you tour a foreign country, the people make the difference.
